The demonstration came days after Israeli Ambassador Alona Fisher-Kamm met Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow over the issue. Thai officials said the ambassador acknowledged the concerns and had visited affected areas, while police monitored the protest outside the embassy.
