We updated our interactive database, “Who’s Complicit,” to include the UN Human Rights Council’s updated list of 214 companies involved in business activities linked to illegal Israeli settlements, up from 112 companies listed when it launched in 2020. The publication is an important step towards holding companies accountable. However, it only captures a small part of how businesses are involved in Israeli human rights violations. A more complete database would include all companies that profit from abuses against Palestinians, not just those operating in illegal Israeli settlements.
