78 years. 700,000 Palestinians forced from their land. 530+ villages destroyed. The Nakba didn't end in 1948. The kufiya has travelled through Bali, London, Bandung - arriving in Paris this week on World Kufiya Day. The kufiyah from Al-Khalil, woven by @hirbawi - the last Palestinian kufiyah manufacturer still operating on Palestinian soil. Weaving since 1961. Through every occupation, closure, checkpoint. Between 1967 and 1993, Israel banned the Palestinian flag. Palestinians wore the kufiyah instead. A textile that survives occupation is not just cloth. It is a form of record-keeping. The statues that line London streets don't mention who worked the land. Or who was displaced to take it. At the Gedung Merdeka in Bandung - where 29 nations said no to colonialism in 1955 - the kufiyah still carries that refusal. Palestine and Congo. The same logic. Documented. 16+ cities. Three continents. The archive is live. Tomorrow: Place de la République, Paris. Then: Goma, DRC. Solidaritas bukan slogan. Ia adalah tindakan. -> threadsofsolidarity.com @hirbawi @paliroots @inkaa_my @_threads.of.solidarity_ @manifeststudiocollective
