Community Guidelines

At UpScrolled we’re building a space where every voice has equal power — but always within a healthy, respectful, and welcoming environment. Our community thrives on free expression and user choice, yet we draw a clear line where safety, dignity, and trust are concerned. The guidelines below reflect the core principles that keep UpScrolled usable for everyone.

These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines”) govern user conduct on the UpScrolled platform (“UpScrolled,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Guidelines apply to all users, creators, contributors, advertisers, and any other individuals or entities accessing or using UpScrolled (collectively, “Users”). By accessing or using UpScrolled, you agree to comply with these Guidelines, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. UpScrolled reserves the absolute right to remove content, restrict access, suspend features, or terminate accounts that violate these Guidelines, our policies, or applicable law.

PURPOSE

UpScrolled is a platform for user-generated content, social engagement, and creative expression. These Guidelines are designed to promote a safe and respectful environment; prevent harm, abuse, and unlawful conduct; protect user privacy and intellectual property rights; preserve the integrity of the platform; and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and distribution platform requirements. While UpScrolled supports freedom of expression, such expression must not compromise user safety, legality, or community trust.

GENERAL STANDARDS OF CONDUCT

Users must act lawfully and responsibly; respect the rights, dignity, and safety of others; provide accurate and truthful information; and refrain from conduct that undermines the safety, integrity, or reliability of the platform. Users are solely responsible for the content they create, upload, publish, transmit, stream, or otherwise make available on UpScrolled (“Content”). UpScrolled does not endorse user Content and disclaims liability to the maximum extent permitted by law. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Any content or conduct involving hate speech, harassment, sexual exploitation, violence, or threats will be removed, and the responsible accounts may be suspended or permanently banned.

FREE SPEECH PROTECTIONS

UpScrolled recognizes the importance of political discourse, human rights reporting, and journalistic documentation. Content discussing governments, armed conflicts, or political movements will not be removed solely because it is controversial or critical, provided it does not violate these Guidelines. UpScrolled does not engage in viewpoint-based censorship. Enforcement decisions are based on conduct, not political perspective.

HARASSMENT AND ABUSIVE CONDUCT

UpScrolled prohibits harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, and abusive behavior. Users may not engage in repeated unwanted contact, targeted harassment campaigns, coordinated attacks, or conduct intended to degrade, shame, or silence others. Content that encourages violence, celebrates harm, or incites hostility toward an individual or group is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to remove abusive Content and take enforcement action, including suspension or permanent termination.

HATE SPEECH AND DISCRIMINATION

UpScrolled does not permit Content that attacks, dehumanizes, threatens, or promotes discrimination against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, serious medical condition, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or veteran status. This includes slurs, supremacist ideology, and calls for segregation or exclusion. Violations may result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform.

VIOLENCE AND DANGEROUS ACTIVITIES

Users may not post Content that threatens or promotes violence; provides instructions for harming others; depicts graphic violence without legitimate context; glorifies extremist or terrorist organizations; or encourages participation in dangerous activities likely to result in serious injury or death. Graphic content shared for the purpose of documenting human rights abuses, war crimes, or news events may be allowed with appropriate warnings. Users may not organize, coordinate, or disseminate campaigns intended to disrupt elections, civic participation, or democratic processes.

SELF-HARM AND SUICIDE

UpScrolled prohibits Content that encourages, instructs, glorifies, or romanticizes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or other self-destructive behavior. Where appropriate, UpScrolled may provide crisis support information. Content intended to seek support or recovery may be reviewed contextually.

SEXUAL CONTENT AND NUDITY

UpScrolled is not a pornography platform. Users may not post explicit sexual acts, graphic sexual content, sexual services solicitation, fetish content intended for arousal, or non-consensual intimate imagery. Sexually explicit deepfakes or manipulated content are strictly prohibited. Sexual Content involving minors is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate account termination and referral to appropriate authorities. Limited non-graphic nudity in artistic, documentary, or educational contexts may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

CHILD SAFETY

UpScrolled maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding child exploitation. Users may not create, share, solicit, or distribute sexual content involving minors; attempt to groom minors; engage in inappropriate communications with minors, minor sexualization, sextortion, trafficking, or the livestreaming of abusive content. Any suspected child exploitation will be reported in accordance with applicable law.

MISINFORMATION AND DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

Users may not disseminate false information that may cause real-world harm; spread harmful medical misinformation; impersonate public officials; manipulate civic or electoral processes; or create deceptive synthetic media intended to mislead others. UpScrolled reserves the right to remove, reduce the visibility of, or label misleading Content.

AUTHENTICITY AND IMPERSONATION

Users must represent themselves honestly. Impersonation of individuals, brands, organizations, or public figures is prohibited. Users may not create fake accounts to deceive others, artificially inflate engagement, manipulate trends, or coordinate inauthentic behavior. Parody, fan, or commentary accounts must clearly disclose their nature. While UpScrolled supports open discussion of developing events, Content that knowingly disseminates demonstrably false information likely to cause imminent harm may be removed.

AI-GENERATED AND SYNTHETIC MEDIA

AI-generated Content is permitted only if it complies with these Guidelines and applicable law. Users are required to provide a clear disclosure that it was edited or created by artificial intelligence. If a User fails to indicate that the material is AI‑generated, Upscrolled will label the content as such. Users may not use synthetic media to impersonate real individuals without disclosure, fabricate real-world events, or create deceptive deepfakes intended to mislead. UpScrolled reserves the right to remove synthetic media that poses a risk of harm or deception.

PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION

Users may not share private or personally identifiable information about others without consent, including home addresses, personal phone numbers, financial information, government identification numbers, or private communications. Doxxing, stalking, or revealing another person’s sensitive information without authorization is strictly prohibited. Users may not engage in hacking, unauthorized access, account takeover, credential abuse, or data misuse of other Users or platform systems.

ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

UpScrolled may not be used to facilitate unlawful activity, including fraud, scams, distribution of illegal drugs, sale of controlled substances without authorization, distribution of stolen goods, money laundering, hacking services, or promotion of terrorist organizations. UpScrolled recognizes the vital role of journalists, citizen reporters, and human rights defenders in documenting events of public interest. Content shared for legitimate documentation purposes will be evaluated with contextual consideration.

SCAMS AND FINANCIAL MISCONDUCT

Users may not engage in deceptive financial practices, including investment scams, pump-and-dump schemes, pyramid schemes, phishing attempts, fake giveaways, false sponsorship claims, or romance scams. Accounts engaged in financial misconduct may be permanently terminated.

SPAM AND PLATFORM ABUSE

Users may not distribute repetitive promotional Content, send unsolicited bulk messages, manipulate hashtags or trending systems, use unauthorized automation tools, scrape platform data, or interfere with platform functionality. UpScrolled may limit reach, restrict features, or suspend accounts engaged in platform abuse.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Users must have the legal right to share the Content they post. Uploading copyrighted material without authorization, reposting others’ Content without permission, selling counterfeit goods, or misusing trademarks is prohibited. UpScrolled will respond to valid intellectual property complaints in accordance with applicable law.

ADVERTISING AND DISCLOSURES

Sponsored or promotional Content must be clearly disclosed and comply with applicable advertising and consumer protection laws. Users are responsible for ensuring that endorsements, reviews, and promotional statements are truthful and not misleading.

REGULATED GOODS AND SERVICES

Users may not promote or sell regulated goods or services in violation of applicable law, including firearms, tobacco products, prescription drugs, unlicensed financial products, or gambling services targeting minors. Additional restrictions may apply depending on jurisdiction.

PLATFORM SECURITY

Users may not attempt to access restricted areas of the platform, reverse engineer the platform, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass moderation systems, or engage in unauthorized data extraction.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Users must be at least 16 years old to use UpScrolled. Accounts that misrepresent age will be removed. Additional restrictions may still apply to users under the age of eighteen (18).

ENFORCEMENT

UpScrolled reserves the absolute right to enforce these Guidelines at its sole discretion. Enforcement actions may include content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, permanent termination, or disabling of monetization features. Repeated or severe violations may result in immediate and permanent account termination.

REPORTING AND APPEALS

Users may report violations through in-app reporting tools or designated support channels. If Content is removed or an account is restricted, the affected User may request review through the established appeals process by contacting safety@upscrolled.com. UpScrolled reserves the right to uphold, modify, or reverse enforcement decisions.

MODIFICATIONS

UpScrolled may update these Guidelines at any time. Continued use of the platform following any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Guidelines.
